✅ Don't Worry – This Was Just a Test!
No harm has been done to your account or data. This exercise is designed to help you recognize and avoid real phishing attempts. Take a moment to review what you could have noticed.
🔍 What You Could Have Noticed
-
Suspicious sender address: The email may have come from an unusual or misspelled domain that doesn't match our official company domain.
-
Urgency or pressure tactics: Phishing emails often create a sense of urgency to make you act without thinking.
-
Unusual requests: Be wary of requests for sensitive information, login credentials, or unexpected attachments.
-
Hover over links: Before clicking, hover over any link to see the actual URL destination. Does it look legitimate?
-
Grammar and spelling errors: Many phishing attempts contain typos or awkward phrasing.
-
Generic greetings: Legitimate emails from colleagues usually address you by name, not "Dear User" or "Dear Employee".
🛡️ How to Protect Yourself
- Always verify unexpected requests through a separate communication channel
- Never enter credentials on pages you reached through an email link
- Report suspicious emails to the IT Security team immediately
- When in doubt, don't click – ask IT first!
- Keep your software and browser up to date
